Lesson 3 of 5 · 3 min

Emails and documents

The emails Offr sends for you, their look, the address they come from, and the invoice and receipt layouts.

  1. Automation → Emails

Automation, then Emails, lists every email Offr sends: To customers, like confirmations and “on its way”, and To your team. Like the rest of Automation, it's for owners and admins.
  2. Open one to change its words, then press Test to see it in your own inbox. Original words puts a built-in email back as it was. You can delete one too, once no automation still sends it.
  3. Automation → Emails → Email design

Email design, at the top of the Emails list, sets the logo, colours, header and footer for every customer email at once. Until you change them, they carry your logo and follow your shop page's colours. Your team's own emails keep Offr's look.
  4. Settings → Email → Where your emails come from

Your customers' emails come from Offr's address with your business's name on them, and replies come straight to you. Rather they came from your own address? They'll look more like you, and land in your own Sent folder.
  5. Settings → Email

An owner or admin picks one under Send from your own address: Connect Google, Connect Microsoft, Set up SMTP for another email host, or Use your domain, through Offr. Then press Send me a test, up in Where your emails come from. If your mailbox ever stops letting Offr send, emails carry on from Offr's address and your To do says Reconnect.
  6. Automation → Documents

Documents holds your invoice and receipt layouts. The base invoice is what every invoice is built on, unless you pick another in Invoices → Settings. It can be redesigned, never deleted.
