Hand your business to someone else

Make someone on your team the owner, step back to admin, and what moves with it.

  1. Settings → Team

    Selling up, or passing the shop on? The new owner needs to be on your team first. Then Settings → Team → Transfer ownership: pick them, type the business's name to confirm, and they own The Clay Room.
  2. You stay on as an admin, so nothing is lost while you hand over, and the new owner can remove you whenever they like. The plan and its billing are theirs from then on.
  3. Products, stock, orders, customers and the shop page's address all stay exactly as they are. Customers notice nothing.
