Lesson 7 of 10 · 3 min

Delivery and your policies

One delivery charge, free over a basket size if you like, and the rules customers read before they buy.

  1. Settings → Delivery

Settings → Delivery sets one charge per order, whatever's in the basket, and a basket size over which it's free. The Clay Room charges £3.95, free over £50.00. Noor Studio in Lahore charges Rs 250 by TCS, free over Rs 10,000.
  2. Checkout adds it after any discount, so a code can't push a basket under the free delivery line by accident and still get it free. Customers see “Spend a little more for free delivery” in their basket.
  3. Add the countries you send to, and checkout only takes those addresses. With just one, it's filled in for the customer. A line on how long it takes, like “Sent within 2 working days”, shows under the price.
  4. Settings → Policies

Settings → Policies says whether customers can cancel online (until you mark the order sent), and holds your returns policy, which shows on your shop page. How long an unpaid order is kept lives on Payments, beside the ways to pay.
