Lesson 6 of 10 · 4 min

Your ways of delivering

Your own drivers with bookable slots, a courier with tracking, or collection: each with its own charge, timing and places.

  1. Deliveries → Methods

Under Deliveries → Methods, set up each way an order can get to someone: your own drivers or riders, a courier like TCS or Royal Mail, or collection from you. Customers choose between them at checkout.
  2. One method

Each has its own charge, free over an amount if you like, and how long it takes, counted on the days it goes out. Orders after the cut-off count from the next day. A method can reach just some towns: your riders in Lahore, a courier everywhere else.
  3. What customers see

Choose how customers pick a time: not at all (they see when to expect it), a day, or a time slot. Slots come from weekly windows with so many drops each, and a slot that's full, closed or too soon shows greyed out, so nobody wonders where Tuesday went.
  4. Products → Delivery

On a product, under Delivery, say which ways it can go (a cake only in your own van), an extra charge per item for something big, and the days it takes to make. Customers can't book sooner than it's ready, and free delivery never waives the extra.
  5. Close a day for a holiday in the method, or straight from the Deliveries calendar. Orders already placed keep the charge and the time they were given.
