Lesson 2 of 10 · 3 min

Unpaid orders and payment receipts

What happens between ordered and paid: the time to pay, the receipt customers upload, and confirming it.

  1. An order paid by transfer starts as Awaiting payment, and its items are kept out of stock for the customer. Settings → Payments says for how long: 48 hours, say. If nothing arrives, it lapses, the items go back on sale and the customer is told.
  2. To do

Customers upload a screenshot of their transfer on the confirmation page or from the link in their email. While you look at it, the order can't lapse. On To do, press It's arrived once it's in your bank, or It hasn't, with a reason they'll read.
  3. Confirming moves it to To send and emails them a receipt. Need to give someone longer? Open the order and press +24h. Took the money another way? Record payment.
