Lesson 6 of 10 · 3 min

Cancel an order or give a refund

Cancelling puts the items back in stock; refunds are recorded on the order; customers can cancel themselves until it's sent.

  1. Cancel this order?

Open the order and press Cancel order. Add a reason if you like (they read it in the email). Put the items back in stock is on, unless it's already been sent: then turn it on only if the parcel came back.
  2. Offr never moves money. Send the refund the way they paid, then record it on the order: in the same dialog as the cancel, or with Refund later. The order shows what was paid, refunded and kept.
  3. Customers can cancel themselves from My orders or their email's link until you mark the order sent (switch it off in Settings → Policies). If they'd paid, it shows Refund due on your To do list until you record the refund, or press No refund owed.
